Investment Banking Summer Analyst

Applied online, got an email a couple of days later from an HR lady saying I need to call her "ASAP" for a 10-15 minute phone interview. Needed a call that day and said that if she didn't pick up she would call you back in the order her voicemail received it in (Acting as if there's a bunch of people going for this role). Said to call today because they will not "pursure" candidates after the next day. Called and she didn't pick up. Got a call a couple of hours later from a completely different number from a different location and just happened to pick up. Different recruiter saying she is picking up where her coworker left off and asked me to interview out of the blue right then. I was kinda shocked but I said yes and she just confirmed info from my resume, talked about the position. Then walked me through the STAR method of answering behavioral questions (Situation, Task, Action, Result) acting as I have never done any prep for interviewing. She said this is how you should answer the next interviewer if they ask you a question, wtf. They got an email for first-round interviews from a completely different recruiter with a different email going into detail about questions that would be asked on the coming interview and how to answer it: use action verbs, use STAR, use a specific example, etc. The first-round interview ended up being on Zoom with no video and there were 3 interviewers. It was the most awkward first-round interview I have ever done. Ended up getting second round but withdrew my application before taking it. Terrible HR department
