Friend referred me to the PM. From there I sent resume, cover letter, and transcript, and had a first round call with a few technicals. Then was invited for an hour long in person interview with the PM and Analyst at the office.
Interview Questions
They asked a lot about the stock that I pitched and some of the assumptions and trends I was thinking about for the investment thesis. Other than that, there were some standard technicals about accounting and DCFs. There is also some behavioral stuff but it isn't that hard. The key is to nail the stock pitch. I had a qualitative pitch that just focused on qualitative catalysts and an investment time horizon, but I know other people who interviewed built out models to defend their pitch. Up to you.
