I was sent an email to sign up for a time to do a phone interview, I completed the phone interview a few days later in 10-15 minutes. A couple of weeks after I received a call with the offer and that's also when they notified me about the drug and background test requirements.
Interview Questions
Background:
1. Why Finra?
2. As you know there are other applicants for this job, what makes you stand out from the rest?
3. Can you talk about how your coursework can be applied in this role?

Situational:
4. Talk to me about a time you were faced with adversity and how you handled it
5. Do you participate in any activities other than sports?
6. What do you see yourself doing after college?

After this, the interviewer told me about what Finra does as a whole and then specifically what the department I was interviewing for does and described what I would be doing. It was clear to me that he had my resume on hand but hadn't looked through it in detail.

Interview
Got call from a recruiter to set up an in-person interview in Rockville, MD. Wasn't too intense, but should've prepared more. Questions were reasonable, but should've prepared more. Why FINRA? Was this department? What do you know about fraudulent trading methods? What do you know about trading? What do you know about manipulative market activity? What's the process of a trade being executed?
Interview Questions
Why FINRA? What about FINRA interests you? Why this department? Did you apply to other departments? What is the process of a trade being executed? How much data did you analyze and how did you analyze it in past experiences? What do you know about fraudulent market activity? What are the techniques used in fraudulent trading? What do you about trading and have you done it before? How do you keep a work-life balance? These were the main questions, so definitely study on on the specific sector you're applying for.
