I applied for the Quantitative Research Intern position. After passing the online assessment, I was invited to a live technical interview over Google Meet, scheduled for approximately 45–60 minutes.

The interview involved quantitative problem solving and explaining my reasoning as I worked through the questions. I found it challenging, particularly having to identify an approach quickly and develop it under time pressure. I felt I made reasonable progress on the problems, but I received a rejection afterward and did not advance to the next round.

My advice is to practice solving unfamiliar probability and mathematical reasoning problems aloud. Beyond reaching an answer, be ready to explain why your approach works, check assumptions, and discuss alternative strategies. My experience was entirely remote, so I cannot comment on the office environment.
