Interview
Online Application: I submitted my CV and answered a few basic questions about my background, motivation, and academic performance on the Forvis Mazars careers portal.
Confirmation & Screening: Within two weeks, I received an email confirming my application had passed an initial screening. They also outlined the next steps and approximate timeline for interviews.

Who Attended: There were two interviewers—one from the HR/recruitment team and another from the International Financial Outsourcing department.
Interview Environment: It was conducted via Microsoft Teams, and both interviewers were very welcoming. They briefly introduced themselves, described their roles within Forvis Mazars, and explained how the interview would be structured.

Introduction: They began by discussing my CV, asking about my educational background, any relevant work experience, and extracurricular activities.
Strengths-Based Questions: The bulk of the interview revolved around how I approach teamwork, time management, learning new things, and my long-term career goals. They specifically probed for examples where I sought feedback, collaborated with others, and adapted to changing situations.
Motivation & Role Understanding: They asked why I chose Forvis Mazars and why I was interested in the International Financial Outsourcing role. I was expected to show a solid understanding of what the department does—particularly around outsourced finance functions, cloud-based accounting solutions, and advisory services for international clients.

Interview Questions
The interviewer wanted a specific example illustrating adaptability, problem-solving, and teamwork—especially in a scenario where the path forward wasn’t clear from the start.
It tested my ability to discuss not just the obstacle, but also how I sought out missing information and aligned my team around a solution.
If you had to explain a complex topic from your studies to a non-expert client in two minutes, how would you do it?”

Why It Was Challenging:

It tested my communication skills, clarity of thought, and ability to adapt language for different audiences.
The time constraint (two minutes) added pressure to be concise and accessible, reflecting real-world scenarios where you must convey financial or technical concepts quickly and effectively.
