Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Had OCR interviews quite late in the season, with submissions due very end of September @ semi-target. I actually didn't do OCR, had phone interviews ahead of time. 1st phone call 1 hour, 2nd call 30 min, then standard 6 interview superday at office in SF (2 assoc, 3 vps, 1 co-founder/MD). Overall it was a very normal superday. Had strong summer experience, so minimal technicals in all but 1 of the interviews. Overall seemed much more focused basic 3 questions (smart/handle hrs/cool?), with the most emphasis placed on how you'll fit it with the group. At the time it was literally 0 girl analysts, so it was like seeing if you'd fit in their frat. Other main concern was can u hack the hours, a lot of dif questions testing this too. Found out afterwards that 4 of 6 incoming analysts were Ivy... can't help but suspect a little positive Target school bias/prestige chasers.
