General Interview Information
Interview Details
The next stage was the on-campus screening at a job fair, where I gave my resume and explained why I was interested in the company. I was called in for an on-campus interview the next day.
The 1st round interview was strictly behavioral, and I had to answer 5 questions as well as ask my own questions. A lot of it was based on key experiences from my past internship, and my take-aways from those scenarios. The interview felt very structured, but I tried to convert it to a conversation as much as possible.
I received an email 1.5 weeks later for an office interview, and that was at the GE Healthcare facility in Milwaukee, WI. I had a chance to get dinner the day before with other candidates and current FMP's, so it was nice to network in a more casual setting.
The next day started early at 8am, where we had breakfast and finished last-minute prep for the interviews. Everyone had 3 interviews with 3 separate managers throughout the day. My first 2 interviews were back-to-back, and my last one was near end of day. Overall it was a mix of behavioral and conversation based interviews, so not very technical. They liked to focus on skills/interests as well as cultural experiences that were unique to each person, and to get an idea of how it would fit into the team environment.
The "powerday" ended around 2pm, and I walked away feeling optimistic about the interviews. After I got the managers' contact information, I spent a great deal of time crafting together thank-you emails that also summarized what I got out of the experience (regardless of the result).
The turn-around was very quick, as they called me about the offer 4-5 days later. I am currently completing the acceptance process.
