Interview
Pretty simple hiring process. I applied online and received an email to set up a phone interview. The initial interview was mostly behavioral, and the second interview was based on how you would value some sample companies that you were given ahead of time.
Interview Questions
You were given four companies to research before the interview and you had to go through and determine how you would value them and if they would be good potential acquisition targets. They were very small companies, so it was difficult to get much information on them on the internet. I think what they were looking for was if you saw stable cash flows or any growth potential in the company. The best company is not the one that has the highest revenues at the moment or the one that is currently the largest.

I interviewed for the private equity associate internship position. I emailed the director of operations and then did a phone then in person interview.
Interview Questions
The questions for the most part were relatively easy questions to answer. I remember one particular question that threw me off was how to think strategically about a specific company. This is a pretty standard company but then they said to do some strategic thinking on it. I wasn't exactly sure how i answered this but I'm pretty sure they are just asking you to think out the process logically. Another question that I got was how just your standard tell me about yourself which is pretty simple and then they went more in depth.
