First, it started with a phone call screening with HR, then you get called in for a superday where you meet multiple people from the company.
Interview Questions
The interview overall was pretty easy. Questions about your background and experience make up the majority of the interview. In some of my interviews, we talked about finance topics. We also talked about the current state of the markets, so essentially make sure you are on top of the news. Finally, I got asked to explain a finance concept that I find interesting. This can be a hard question especially if you don't have an answer prepared for that. We went in depth with the concept I chose and he asked me questions.

Interview
Did a super day with 4 people on the credit investment and portfolio management side and then received a case study about two weeks later for the second round. Presented the case study to the senior managers and took questions.
Interview Questions
Case study was the hardest part; while not an unusual case for someone in the industry, the managers were focused in picking your case apart and then asked to differentiate between investing in the first lien vs. second lien and how to think about the risk in each tranche.

I wouldn't say it was anything super unexpected in terms of what questions they asked, definitely had to know the basics of the credit down and have built a good projection model and know how to walk through all the important metrics.

Process begins with a phone screen with HR, following with a superday within the week. No technicals are asked, and questions about resume and previous experiences are majority of interview. Know why company and and why group/division.
Interview Questions
Specific questions about bullet points on resume. Need to know every thing that is written on your resume with stories behind each one. Understand your previous experiences well enough to answer if they probe deeper into your answers. Be able to answer questions under pressure as they may be looking for how you respond or react to what they ask for. Be very sure for why you picked that division you applied for and have an understanding about what the firm does and its history, as well as anything else you can find about it.
