Interview
Initially applied through OCR. Resume was also pushed by a junior I knew at the firm. First round was through OCR, met with Analyst and Associate for 30 minutes. Was invited to superday where I met with three people, and was given an hour and a half to complete a cash study which comprised of basic comprehension of finance concepts and 10k interpretation. One round was all technicals and two were entirely behavioral. Was then invited to second superday to meet with five people, all senior member of the firm. Mostly behavioral questions.
Interview Questions
Technical questions were pretty standard, there were some questions about restructuring and debt that I had not exactly encountered before, but nothing that wasn't straight forward to figure out if you have a good grasp on accounting. Some basic brain teasers were also asked. The case study was straight forward as well. It asked to calculate different ratios/numbers based on numbers from a 10k, and do other fact finding from the 10k as well. There was an extra credit portion to the case study portion which asks you to go through a debt document, but I didn't get a chance to work on it before the time was up. The associate who was leading the process said to me that no one really manages it to get to the extra credit portion in time, so it's not something that I would worry about.
