Interview
I first had a HireVue interview, followed by a one-on-one interview on Zoom, and then a second online interview. The HireVue interview was mostly personality-based with one technical question. The one-on-one Zoom interview focused primarily on behavioral questions and my past experience, with one technical question included. The third interview was also mainly behavioral but included some additional technical components. I should be prepared to answer ‘Why Graham Partners?’, ‘Why Private Equity?’, and ‘Why Philadelphia?’, as well as what specifically draws me to this area. I also need to be ready to explain what an LBO is and discuss recent deals, both ones Graham has completed and broader market transactions
Interview Questions
Explain the value creation levers you would use for a manufacturing/industrial business. They also asked a lot of detailed questions and technical questions about past experience but those are more so personal to me.

Interview
Overall pretty basic but challenging. Networking calls and 1-3 phone screen rounds, then onto a final zoom round.
Interview Questions
Started with initial networking and phone screens, fairly basic with a few technicals that were overall general (400 guide, limited LBO other than drivers behind it, why do we use leverage, etc.). Then final round was not a super day format, one zoom call with a lot of people, some just listening, some asking questions. It started with getting sent materials 1 hour before the call with general questions to consider, and then getting grilled on the whole info pack sent. Resembled a mock CIM, had to know the ins and outs of should it be an LBO candidate, KPIs, TAM/SAM/SOM, QofE report, pro forma, and more. Very hard but expected because it was for the 2 year program. Overall just had to show knowledge and work towards answers as many were very open ended and wanted to see how you think. No way to game the final round, just have to prep like crazy.
They are HUGE on why Graham/why PE, and why Philly. Have solid answers locked down.

Phone Interview
Interview
First, I submitted a one-way HireVu that asked me about my interest in private equity, my interest in working in the Philly area, my commitment to a two-year program, and an experience working on a team. I then had two phone interviews with the first one being more behavioral (asking about my resume, favorite portfolio companies, etc), and the second one being more technical (the three financial statements, valuation methods, etc).
Interview Questions
1) If you were able to ask an executive of a company for three pieces of data to make an investment decision, what would they be
2) what's a portfolio company you would want to ask further questions about?

Interview
Not too hard, basic technicals and lots of behavioral. Walk me through the 3 financial statements, walk me through your resume, etc. Also, be prepared to talk about your connection to the Philly area, they placed a lot of emphasis on that.
Interview Questions
I honestly was not prepared for the basic accounting questions, this was probably my downfall.

Interview
I first applied online on the Graham Partners Website. I was asked to submit the typical information required: CV, CL, skill etc. After I was invited for an online interview. The interview took place on Spark Hire. Questions would pop up on my screen and I had 2 minutes to record answers to them. I would recommend people practice the typical why you, why us, introduce yourself questions. There was also a question about why I would like to live in Pennsylvania. It is by no means a hard initial interview.
Interview Questions
Honestly, the why I would want to live in/work for a company in Pennsylvania. I was prepared for it but it is still a bit of a silly question that I am pretty sure is meant to throw you off.

After the digital interview for screening, received an invitation for an analyst call a couple weeks after. After that, I had 2 associate calls. All of these call were 1 on 1 over the phone. You knew if you moved on to the next round after 1 week or so. The people seem very chill, more focused on why the Philly, why PE, and your commitment to a 2 year program.
