Investments Analyst

I was initially contacted by GP's secretary, who arranged an in person interview with the team. GP is a REIT who was crushed during the crisis, but recently restructured to focus on best-in-class industrial and office net lease equity plays. I prepared by researching the company as well as understanding the net lease space, having some confidence in real estate concepts already.

I met an analyst, VP, and MD, 3 out of the 7, people on the investments team. I was impressed by the level of activity the group was and would be involved with, really the most important aspect I consider when looking at joining a new real estate shop.

I received questions solely on my experience (and lack thereof). No technicals, nothing investment thesis related. I felt I had worthwhile conversations with the analyst and VP, but the MD was not impressed.
