Investment Banking Summer Analyst
General Interview Information
Interview Details
The superday itself was about 2 hours long - 4 back-to-back 30 minute interviews with an 2 analysts and 2 VPs. Interviews were not overly technical. In fact, interviewers were much more interested in talking about previous internships that I had, what I did in these internships, etc. Would advise other people to know your resume very well and be able to speak in-depth and at length about the various projects that you did at previous internships. I interned at a big buy-side fund sophomore summer and was grilled extensively on the 2 models that I built during the internship by one of the VPs (who also had buy-side experience before moving into Investment Banking).
In general the people were very, very, very nice and very chill. Interviewers were very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in talking and learning about me, instead of just going through the motions or coming in with the intention of trying to 'catch' you on your mistakes. Everyone was very friendly and at the end of my 4th interview, the VP took me around the office. The office itself is relatively small, but more than adequate for the size of the firm. Office organized trading-floor style, so no cubicles or anything.
