Interview
I applied through on-campus job-posting website. After being selected from the resume-drop alone, I had an on-campus interview. The interview content was mostly behavioral, but it did include my knowledge of options, options trading strategies, knowledge of specific spreads, and my mental math (tested in the form of quick mental math and statistics problems). After the interview, I followed up continually, constantly updating them on my updates throughout the school year. The interviewer had me meet a student on-campus who previously interned there, and the student followed up with her afterward. After about a 2 month process, HR called me with an offer letter and gave me a 2-week timeframe to answer.
Interview Questions
Tell me about yourself and utilize your resume in order to paint a picture of who you are and why you are here today?
What do you see yourself doing in the next five to ten years?
Do you think you are a creative person? If yes, then tell me a time that you were creative?
Tell me what you know of options? Do you know the difference between a call option and a put option?
Can you describe the Black-Scholes model to me? What is the model used for? What factors influence the outcome of the formula?

First interview => 1 on 1 on-campus interview with HR. Consisted of talking about why Group 1 and why I was interested in options and trading.
Second interview => in the office, 1 on 1 with a director. Afterward, went to the NYSE for a tour and to talk with other employees.

Received internship offer shortly afterwards via a phone call.
Interview Questions
Was asked about what I knew about the company and the industry. Was sent reading materials prior to the second round of interviews. Made sure to read a few chapters of Option Volatility and Pricing by Natenberg. Familiarized myself with greeks and made myself comfortable with the material. Nothing too complicated, as I had prepared for difficult quantitative questions and was not asked too many probability or math questions. Could be due to having a math-intensive background. The main questions were about why the company and what interested me about options. Talked a lot about my sports background.

Interview
I initially sought the internship via the school's career site; while they did not come to campus to interview, they scheduled the interview at my convenience in downtown Chicago (we are just a short train ride away). The interview consisted of fit questions and some basic mental math and probability. HR is extremely friendly and professional.
Interview Questions
There were no surprises in the interview. Be prepared to talk about what distinguishes you from other applicants; there will be other applicants interested in getting their foot in the door at such a great prop shop, so while the interview might seem simple, it is on you to distinguish yourself. The math and logic are run-of-the-mill for this type of shop.
