Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
Applied online in November and did my phone screen interview in late January. I had my final interview that was in person at the San Francisco office. Spoke with 3 different team members. 1 institutional client team (hedge funds, VC, private equity) and 2 healthcare client team. Asked very specific questions about time management. They ask a lot of these questions because as an associate you will be working a lot of projects up to 15 all at once. After I moved onto the final round which was a 1 hour project where I was given a client and had to match them with subject matter experts.

Interview
An initial screening call with an HR recruited, followed by an in-person interview at the location. I was led into a remote conference room, and one by one a project manager, the CEO, the department manager, and HR director interviewed me. The questions were the same, and the interview was not challenging at all. Questions like"Can you explain our company model?" were among the most commonly asked. The company asks you to do a mock project, which is more challenging, because you really don't know what they are expecting and how to write it. I completed it within the allotted 4 hours but I needed more time to cut out grammar mistakes and perfect it.
While interviewing, I did feel a certain disconnect between the employees; none knew what questions the previous interviewer had asked, and how long I had been there. The entire day took more than 3.5 hours, and noone showed me around the place which seemed a little strange. This company does not get good reviews on other job-boards and most employees are unhappy with this workplace due to sever micromanaging. After all, I could not have seen myself work there.
