Interview
I applied online through a jobsite (indeed.com). A few weeks later I received an email from the recruiter team expressing interest. I replied right away and then contacted them a few weeks later and then they responded asking me for an interview. I interviewed first with the recruiter and then with 3 other people. They wanted to meet me in person but I was far away with a lot of commitments and could not go. They decided we should Skype and we were starting to arrange that when they decided they all liked me and we did not need to Skype. They sent me an offer letter and I accepted. They were looking for candidates with an appropriate background and who they felt they would like and who would fit with them. The people are nice and smart and helpful. It is a very open culture, everyone works in a very open environment. They try to spend some social time together, for example, on a Friday after work. They have a group brainstorming event/contest which includes all employees. All in all this is a nice place to work and a positive experience for a summer intern if you are interested in learning about market research. The company is always very busy, they seem to have a lot of work; their clients must be very happy with what they do.
Interview Questions
Q. Why do you want to do market research?

A. I feel my background in psychology and my work in a social psychology lab is a very good fit with market research. A lot of people with this type of background end up working in this industry. It is a good match because I have taken basic statistics and understand the research process. Psychology research and market research are conducted in a very similar way.
