Interview
The first interview was one-on-one on campus with a senior director. The second (and final) round interviews were at the Birmingham, AL headquarters with the rest of the private equity team. The final round interviews consisted of two separate interviews. The first was with an associate and business development manager followed by another interview with the other associate. The questions were mainly fit questions with essentially no technical questions.
Interview Questions
Question: What is your personal investment strategy?
Answer: I am a value investor and look for companies that are trading below their intrinsic value.
Question: Why are you interested in private equity?
Answer: I am familiar with small businesses and like private equity because I would have the opportunity to work with many different companies in different industries.
