Interview
Started with an initial phone screen, primarily behavioral with a couple technical questions. Then I had a basic case study, where we had to build out a model based on a recent deal they just closed. Finally I interviewed in person with each member of the team, which was exclusively behavioral and very informal.
Interview Questions
The case interview was relatively challenging for someone with a limited banking background, but should not be particularly tough for someone with transaction experience. It involved modeling out the financials for a financed transaction, forecasting growth for the next few years, then eventually completing an LBO model to tie it all together. It was not too complex, but with a 2 hour time limit it was very difficult to complete all of the required steps within the time frame. Despite not completing, I was able to proceed to the next round.
