Applied to position through OCR, first round interview consisted of 1 on 1 with a HR member. Planned for interview by viewing website describing position on Hess's site and speaking with a power trader in another company (this is a new position). Positive perception of position/Hess as a company, HOWEVER, was skeptical since in January 2013 activist investor Elliott Management was proposing to break off Hess's production business from its refining/operations. Interview was 2/27, on 3/4 Hess announced it will be exiting its energy marketing/operations business. There is a significant chance this affected the hiring process but I do not know 100%.
