The interview process was extremely fast and easy. The members of the firm mainly wanted to assess fit in the firm and asked basic technical questions along with it. There were three interviews, and the interviewers were very kind and easygoing throughout the process.

Initial phone screen with a VP where it was a mix of behavioral and technical. The next round consisted of a 1:1 and then a case study. The HGGC modeling test is pretty robust where you are asked for a fairly detailed revenue build, 3 statement model, and a couple debt tranches to model
Interview Questions
The modeling test was difficult given the time constraint of only 1 hour. Apart from that, you'll be asked to give your thoughts on industries where they are generally looking for something more robust than your typical answer

- The modeling test had a complicated revenue build and asked for a case toggle
- Deep dive into a deal on my resume - specifically asked about management transition, multiple expansion, and how we thought about entry and exit multiples which I had to BS my why through
- Straightforward paper LBO with mental math
- Mental math - What is 7 cubed? If you have a company growing 10% yoy how many years will it take to double in size?
- What is the formula for calculating IRR (CAGR), and actually calculating it out with an example
