Trading

After applying I was contacted and told I was on a shortlist to be interviewed.

I was then contacted for initial interview with hiring manager. Obviously interviews vary with the person interviewing you and by getting the offer my interviews obviously went well. After a good hour long interview I was shown round and sat the the desk for a little while during the Fed meeting that evening.

I was then called back and interviewed again by someone else. This was straight forward in and out interview.

At this point I was made aware I was final stages. I was then invited for a few "catch up's" more informal meetings to get to know me and keep my updated. Eventually I was made aware they wanted to extend me an offer pending final interview with other partners.

They interview went well and I was given the jobs.

Question throughout varied from personality and experience based questions and some markets based questions. My views and understanding were important. Whilst it wasn't an aggressive style of interviews I was still very much under pressure and "tested" to asses my capabilities. Esp has I had little previous trading experience.
