Investment Banking Analyst

Had initial phone interview with a vice president and then a few days later another phone interview with the Managing Director. I was invited to come in to interview in person. I first had an interview with the vice president and he asked me expected interview questions (where do you see yourself in a few years, strengths weaknesses). There were very few technical questions and the only one I remember right now was "What is DCF". I then interviewed with the MD and it was mostly a behavioral interview. We went out to a casual lunch where they were examining my social skills. We came back to the office and they basically asked me if I had any more questions. Since it is a small boutique firm, they really cared more about fit than technical skills it seems. Additionally, since they specialize in financial institutions M&A it seemed like they really didn't expect you to know much. I would say the environment was friendly but very serious and they wanted to ensure that they were the best and bring in the best people. Make sure to ask very good questions, it seemed like they expected you to have tons of questions.
