The number you see in the middle of the doughnut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
I sent in a cover letter along with my resume after on campus recruiting. From the email exchange, my resume went through their administration in a month, to the founder of the company (!!!). She framed the interview as a "discussion" in her email, but it was really a phone interview. I only had one interview, and it was unclear whether they normally have more, but it seems like they make their decision (at least from target schools) after one phone interview. Also I was applying for an off-term internship at a boutique bank, so they are generally less intense.
I was not offered an internship at the end.
Interview Questions
The most difficult question she asked was for me to explain to her the mission of Hypatia. I was not adequately prepared but this kind of information is not difficult to find on the web.
What is one challenge you've faced and how have you handled it? She was looking to see how well I can deal with challenging situations and whether I work hard.
