Interview
Fairly easy. Over the phone. Interviewer asked a broad set of behavioral questions, and your interest in finance.
Interview Questions
In terms of behavioral questions, which honestly weren’t that difficult: What do you think your greatest weakness is? Describe a stressful situation at work or in school and describe how you handled it. Describe a time when you used logic to solve a problem. Give an example of a goal you didn’t meet and how you handled it.

Finance related questions: Explain synergy and provide a simple example for it. Explain why one company might want to acquire another company. What is goodwill and how is it calculated?

Interview
Pretty simple. Interview is basic fit and low-level finance skills. Easy if you know anything basic about IB.
Interview Questions
Mostly fit and problem solving, particularly within teams. Also asked several questions about leadership. They want any intern they hire to have the potential to move on to a team lead position after one semester as a basic intern, so the leadership and coaching part is very important.

The finance questions were more general, like "What is the difference between bulge bracket and boutique investment banks" and what you would consider the advantages to be of boutique banking. Most financial analysis is outsourced, so nothing about that in the interview.

Interview
I corresponded with Zack Zirkle, the associate in charge of the internship program, several times over a period of 3 weeks. We set up a phone interview and later a 1 on 1 interview. He mainly asked about my past experiences. I feel the interview process was mainly to feel out attitude and excitement.
Interview Questions
Why do you want to work in M&A? The questions were very standard. I talked to Mr. Zirkle about my involvement with the Investment Banking Club at BYU and at a number of info sessions about M&A that I had attended.
