You get 3 interviews of approximately 30 minutes each, with associates/analysts. The first interview is a fit check (background/motivation). The second interview is to test your corporate finance knowledge (3 financial statements and valuation questions). The last interview is a case. This case can be about anything, with as goal to test your business sense. I got a case about market sizing and building a t shirt business.

Interview
I applied to a different position at the bank on LinkedIn. Someone in HR reached out to me with job profiles for which they'd thought I'd be a better fit. From there, I said to submit my interest to both hiring managers. I had a 2 on 1 interview with people on the team (both directors, the team was mostly seniors) and discussed my background and fit for the role along with the daily/weekly nature of tasks. I had a great experience with the team members themselves, and made it quickly to a final round which was similarly focused on fit and behavioral questions. However, there must have been some miscommunication since I was under the impression that I was interviewing for an associate position and the HR person came back with notice that it was an analyst role. ING base comp at both analyst and associate level was too low for me, which led to me declining the offer.

Made a connection with the swaps trader who referred me to HR. HR conducted a call with me and then forwarded my resume to hiring managers. Interview Questions
Lots of questions about the role and motivation however there were some tough questions about the current views on the banking industry and also some tough motivational questions that were related to the testing that was done online. Toughest question was probably about what you would do if you have been given a budget and you had to allocate it to a certain part of the bank and why? If you get through to the interview stage make sure you have some scenarios relating to your strength area and your development area

Included an interview with the associate and VP of the leveraged finance team. Mainly consisted of fit and technical questions, was not too difficult.
Interview Questions
There were questions related to specific deals I had done during my previous internship with a corporate finance house. I was asked to present my views on the education sector in specific SEA countries, requiring me to elaborate on political and regulatory environments and outlooks. Numerous fit questions were asked related to my view on working in teams and school as well. They went quite deep, considering it was only 2 rounds of ~30 minutes. I was also asked what i expected of the firm and what hours I expected.

Applied via school career portal, was called for interview after at least 1 month had passed. There was a phone interview to check availability, and a one-to-one interview with the HR in the following week, mostly centred around behavioural questions. There was some general questions about the markets in general, but they weren't the main focus.
Interview Questions
I was asked which particular industry/sector do you expect will do better in the year ahead, and why do you think so? Are there any major events you expect in the coming year that will shake up the markets?
The rest were mostly conventional fit questions: Tell me of an example where you demonstrated detail-orientedness.
Tell me of a time when you worked effectively under pressure.
Why our firm specifically?
What made you decide to apply for this role?
What are your strengths and what are your weaknesses?
