Investment Banking Associate

I contacted a person there I have known for quite some time to see if there were any open positions within their IBD team. While they had made some recent hires, and weren't openly sourcing candidates at this point, they agreed to set up a time to talk through my background and what I might bring to the table for them. This firm is quite large and my primary contact travels pretty extensively so things took some time to come together. The next step after that first call was the write up a synopsis of what I would bring to the table, in a sense it was my own executive summary and plan of action. The nice part about that was it gave me the opportunity to essentially write my own job description.

The next step here is to line up a call with other team members and potentially schedule an on-site interview, which has yet to take place.
