investment banking analyst

I was referred by an employee and first had a couple phone interviews with a VP and a MD. Then I had another round in person with 2 MDs and an associate. Interviews were very straight forward, most questions were just asking about my previous job. The only "technical" question I was asked was if in Year 1 a company's EV/EBITDA multiple is 8x and in year 2 it's 7x, what could be a reason for this?

They wanted me to come in for another round of interviews (an MD missed interviewing me because of a conflict) but I had already accepted another offer. They seemed like a pretty good group of guys though, very smart, but not cut throat.
