Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Two round of interviews. Both included group interviews with 3 members of the JMP team on the other side. One was out of the NYC office and the other two out of LA office. First round of interview was very technical. Ran through accounting concepts, valuation and then all the components of DCF (from WACC, beta and debt vs. equity in cost of equity and WACC)
Second Round - Case study of a recent M&A transaction. Asked to walk through the transaction and what you thought about it. Synergies, expansion and if it was a good deal for them or not.
