Investment banking summmer analyst

After applying online from a non-target school I received a screening call from a VP in their regional IBD office in Atlanta. 45 minute phone call heavy on technical and my previous IB experience at a lower middle market boutique. Technicals are all the ones you would expect on the guides, nothing too difficult.

Was invited to their superday which took place in a hotel (much less intimidating than their offices). 3 - 30 round interviews with mostly senior bankers. one interviewer was analyst other was an MD and other was ED. Overall interview was mostly fit, they could tell within 5 minutes if you know your stuff or not so then they focused on getting to know you and your experiences.

Interviews at Barclays, BAML, CS, MS and JPM was one of the more positive interview experiences in terms of them actually getting to know the interviewee.
