Several rounds of case interviews. Started with a 45 minute interview with an analyst-- a few personality questions, then a case, then a couple more fit questions. Next was a 45 minute interview with an associate, with the same format. Then was a case interview with a partner, same format. Then was a lunch with two analysts and an associate. Finally was a 2 hour fit interview with two partners, where they asked questions about me.

Interview Questions

"Tell me about your heroes." Then as a followup, "tell me about a time when one of your heroes failed you."

I was totally unprepared for this question. I talked about my family as my heroes, then talked about growing up and finding out that my parents were people, and weren't perfect. This was a very difficult question for me to answer, because answering honestly means working through a thought process that's uncomfortable to embark upon if you haven't thought about it before. This is indicative of the interview-- it's not uncomfortable just for the sake of being uncomfortable, it's to see how you respond when the BS gets thrown out the window and you're faced with the truth.
