Leerink Investment Banking Summer Analyst

I applied through my school's careers website with a simple resume drop, and heard back around 2 weeks later. After I scheduled my first round on-campus interview I was emailed by an analyst inviting me to dinner the night before the interview at a nearby restaurant. At the dinner there were about 20 fellow candidates and 5 employees of the company ranging from incoming summer analyst to managing director. The interview was scheduled to last about 30 minutes but only lasted about 20-25. There was one interviewer, a VP from one of my school's rivals. He didn't seem to have much respect for our school and was fairly unpleasant during the interview. He would routinely interrupt, didn't seem to care about getting to know me, and after 5 minutes of discussing my resume, started into 20 minutes of technical questions as I was in the middle of a sentence.

I get the sense that Leerink is a small firm with some aggressive personalities and a demanding schedule. The analyst I spoke with said that he works more than some of his peers at bigger banks because there are not many analysts at the firm.
