Venture Capital Intern Interview - Generalist
First part is to talk about and describe your favorite start up. If you do not have a start-up in mind, I suggest going and finding a unique start up that has little exposure. I would keep it short and sweet, describing the main functions, who are the target clients, why it will be successful and in the event of a pivot (change in business strategy) why the start up will endure instead of fail. The next few steps involve talking with the hiring manager and one of the start up managers in the office. They ask basic behavioral questions like "walk us through your resume" and "describe why you want to work in venture capitalism." Here I would really focus on the desire to help start ups or deep interest in working on projects. To me, the biggest part is showing self-motivation so structure your answers around that principle.
