Interview
Straightforward process. Had two rounds of phone interviews followed by an in-person interview at the NYC office. Met individually with an analyst and an associate and was introduced to some of the MDs before the end of the day.
Interview Questions
Was asked about the courses I'm taking in school, my experience with excel and other MS office suite programs, if I had any modeling experience, etc. Why is investment banking interesting to me and what my most favorite recent M&A deal was and why. The interview process was very professional but they did give me time to come up with thoughtful answers and seemed genuinely interested in my responses. Had trouble articulating an answer to why the M&A deal I chose was interesting to me but I think it went okay overall.
