Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
Phone screen, in person superday with a few candidates. Nothing too technical, mostly fit and the normal techs you would expect from any investment banking interview "walk me trhough DCF", "M&A process/steps", "walk through creating a buyers list" etc. Pe prepared with why Richmond and why lower MM.
Interview Questions
Nothing really difficult or unexpected. Talked to a friend who interviewed there so had some insight. Just review the WSO 400 question interview guide and you will be more than fine. I think the "why richmond/lower middle market" is actually the toughest question that I was asked, because you need a convincing story to back this up depending on your background.

Interview
There was first a phone interview where I was asked basic behavioral questions such as strengths and weaknesses, etc. Additionally, I was asked about my major, career goals, and locational preference.
Interview Questions
The interview that was conducted was the STAR interview technique. (Situation, task, action, result). Using this method, I was asked a set of 6 or 7 behavioral questions which I was required to answer using the STAR technique. The first question I was asked was "What was the greatest challenge you have come across so far in school, how did you handle it, and what was the outcome?" Afterwards the questions got a bit more specific such as "Tell me about a time where you were put in a difficult situation, what was the problem and how did you work it out?"
