Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
Applied through school for the internship. The whole process was very quick - two rounds of interviews completed in two weeks. First round was two 30 minutes interviews with two people from the team. It has a standard consulting case and few behavioral questions. Second round was similar but two 1 hour interview. So 30 minutes case and 30 minutes behavioral. It is a very standard consulting interview.
Interview Questions
All questions were very standard consulting questions.
Case questions were not very difficult, such as estimate car market in a country, help business owner decide whether he should open a new store, etc.
Behavioral questions were standard as well, such as why consulting, tell me about a time when you disagreed with someone, etc. They do ask about details on your resume and your previous experience

Interview
I applied from the college recruiting website. I had a phone call with 2 analysts that was mainly behavioral and wanted to see how much I knew about company and the group. This was followed by a case interview with a senior consultant.
Interview Questions
This was a case interview.

I was supposed to analyse a case where a bank was about to enter a new market. The interviewer led me through the case. The interviewer tried to lead me through the case and whenever I blundered would try to steer me to ask the right questions.

I think I was supposed to start of by doing a market sizing estimation. From there I should have asked probing questions to figure out the way the market was segmented in order to see if this was going to be a profitable move and to figure out the right pricing to charge.
