Interview
I applied through a university job search tool. The process took a little over a month in total, but it took a while to hear back. Initial interview with a few members of the firm with some basic technicals and behavioral questions. Following that was an in-person interview which lasted roughly 3 hours and consisted of a resume walkthrough and a financial modeling exam and presentation. Great company with great people.

Interview
Initial skype call with a member from the team. Very basic standard IB questions - three valuation types, walk me through dcf, which valuation gives you the highest valuation and why, etc. After this call, was formally invited to the office for an in-person interview, consisting of one hour of meet and greet, 1 hour to complete a dcf, and one hour to walk through the dcf
Interview Questions
Most difficult part was the one hour modeling test. Was put in an office an given a word document with instructions for the model. Basically was asked to complete a basic DCF and then had to complete additional questions in the word document. Questions included: do you think the cost of capital you computed is reasonable and why, if you were able to ask the team of the target company two specific questions what would you ask, if depreciation is a non-cash expense why and how can it affect the balance of a company

Interview
I applied online and was asked to come in for an interview. Then, I was asked to come back for an interview with their boss, who made the final decision to extend me the offer.
Interview Questions
There were two difficult questions:
What options does a company have when deciding on a capital structure? This question was not very clear and came as a result of a bullet point on my resume dealing with corporate finance experience on capital structure. I had only dealt with one companies capital structure, and so I was not sure what other ways there were to handle capital structure besides the way I had become accustomed to.

The next question was about depreciation in the three financial statements. This one was more expected, as many are told to prepare for this question in IB interviews.

Interview
Initial interview was over the phone. The assistant to one of the Managing Directors came on and talked to me for a bit about my specific resume points. The managind director was listening in on the call I found out and jumped in and starting asking the typical, why M&A and etc style questions. He also asked some basic fit style questions and a couple technicals that were all pretty basic. They wanted to know I had a decent understanding of a DCF and accounting basics.

A client is expecting an updated valuation by the end of the workday. The internet and power go out in the office. How do you handle the situation?
