Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Process consisted of an OCR resume drop followed by an in-person interview. I had no prior contact with the company. To prepare for the interview, I went over behavioral questions and refreshed my knowledge of the 3 main valuation methods. The in-person interview was two 1-on-1 interviews, each about 20 minutes long and with one of the analysts. Questions were very straightforward, consisting of the most typical behavioral questions. I was disappointed they did not ask any technical questions since I had spent the time preparing. However, it makes sense as the role apparently would not require me to do any valuation work. Firm is a super small boutique (5-10 people) and very laid back. From my conversations with the interviewers, it seemed like almost all of the deals they did followed directly from some sort of relationship the CEO had. Advice: no need to prep, just know your behaviorals.
