Intern

I cold-called this place when I was looking for summer internship positions. A guy ended up getting back to me after I sent my resume. Went into NYC at their office on Broadway for an interview.


This wasn't even really an interview. The guy asked me a couple easy questions, we talked for a little bit, and he gave me an offer within a few minutes. I was a little sketched out by this and a better opportunity came along, so I declined.

Thankfully I dodged a bullet here. I talked with a friend who knew people interning there and they bring on mass hordes of unpaid interns to cold-call. The company does some IB work but from what I've heard, it's a chop shop brokerage. The only positive is that you might be able to put "investment banking summer analyst" on your resume. As a freshman it probably wouldn't be terrible, but otherwise stay the hell away. There are a couple of reviews on Glassdoor about the company, you might want to take a minute to read them.
