Interview
The hiring process at MGM Resorts International for the summer internship program was fairly lengthy and involved several stages. I submitted my application in early January, and approximately a month later, in February, I received an invitation to complete a HireVue interview. The HireVue was entirely behavioral and designed to assess personality fit, communication style, and alignment with the company’s values.

Roughly another month later, I was invited to participate in a group interview that included candidates from various departments. This stage focused on collaboration, communication, and problem-solving within a team setting. While there wasn’t a technical component, the evaluators paid close attention to how candidates interacted with one another and demonstrated their interest in hospitality and gaming operations.

Unfortunately, I didn’t receive confirmation of my final application status until about two weeks before the internship start date. This timeline was consistent with what I later learned from other applicants who were accepted into the program.
