Summer Intern

I knew someone who worked there and asked if they take interns. The person I know said they do and mentioned he could forward my resume to the hiring Managing Director. However, the hiring MD usually hires from his alma-mater. I had a brief conversation with the Managing Director on the phone and he asked when I could come into the office to interview. I went over spring break. About a month after interviewing and following up, I was informed he made the decision to hire someone else.
