Interview
The first few interviews were over the phone. When I was brought in, I was asked general questions about my background. For the last round of interviews, I had to do a DCF valuation using a case study they gave me.
Interview Questions
They asked me why we discount by costs of equity and debt in the WACC and not just the equity. I said fumbled around and eventually admitted I had no idea. They also asked why debt payments aren't taken out in the DCF as expenses.
They asked about majority and minority valuations. If I performed a valuation using a DCF, but the client was only looking for 30% of the business, should I simply take 30% of the overall value or should it be further discounted. For a 75% majority control, should I add a premium to 75% of the overall value?
