Started with 1h call with the manger, mostly just explaining what will be the job, and personal questions to see if I fit. Then, the next round was paper test, materials were similar to CFA level 1, and it mostly focused on monte carlo, dividend, and risk. After that, there was a longer call with the manager and another team lead about my understandings on finance. and some insights into career progression. The final round of interview was with the manager's manager, where we mostly talked about personal things. After that, I took less than 2 weeks for me to get an offer. The whole process before I signed the contract lasted about 8 weeks.

Interview
They first introduced there company and what the program is doing. And then asked me some basic questions.
Interview Questions
Actually they the ask questions based on my knowledge about their company and the Resume. But though I look up for information on there website for more than 1 hour, I still not know that much about them. (Because I do not know what they are looking for.)
They ask questions like what do you know about our company. And then they dig into what you know and try to find out whether you do know a lot about there company or just know some general knowledge about them.
So a deep research about there company is suggested.

Interview
I send my CV and cover letter to the HR of MSCI Beijing, then received a phone call after about 10 days. The HR is nice, simply asked the fundamental information of me, why I choose this internship, career plan and time. After the short phone interview I received an email, which arranged an onsite interview in the next week. The onsite interview lasts for 3 hours, including an interview in person with an associate followed by a 2-hour written test. The associate is nice and asked some basic questions such as "self-introduction", "intership experiences", "solution to difficult projects", and a case study, mainly examining my ability to analyze a problem and doing research.

Resume submitted by recruiter; MSCI took 2 months to respond. Met with the head of APAC, who provided a clear overview of their business initiatives in Asia. Was questioned on specifics about my relevant experience, behavioural aspects, professional interests. Overall a very positive experience and I learned more about the firm, but like many other large organisations the hiring process can be quite lengthy.
