Interview
I interviewed for the Associate (Rotation) program for NBA China. I applied in February and the deadline for application was in April. I received a phone call from HR in May (first round) interview and told I would know if I can get into the 2nd round in early June. Mid-June I heard from them again to confirm my availability for the program. Early July I was asked to schedule interviews for the 2nd round. It consisted 2 1 hour interview with two manager level employee. First one purely in English and was all behavioral; second one in Mandarin and focus on Skills and experiences. I was told the decision would be released within 3 weeks. Never heard back from them.
Interview Questions
All questions are quite standard. On one occasion they asked me to detailedly narrate one of my experience and show my take away to a company level. They were more interested in my reflection of the whole event. They also asked me about NBA knowledges such as the local sponsors in China and how the sponsor and NBA China collaborate. Apparently they wanted to see whether you are familiar with their business here. No questions that relate to the sports itself was asked. So you don't need to know all the players and teams, but you should know their business.
