Background Check
Interview
A recruiter found me I had the exact background they were looking for, had an immediate phone interview with the hiring manager. He asked me a few technical questions and then to explain a project I have worked on. I then got asked to come into an in person interview. It was an interview with the hiring manager and his boss.

I walked through my experience and explained some complex projects I had worked on, I wrote this out on the whiteboard (this is a great interview tactic, they eat it up). Then I was offered a position on the spot
Interview Questions
Please explain what drives deferred taxes on a companies financial statements, in particular why would an Energy company have deferred taxes
There were no other real difficult questions. Most of what they wanted to hear was my relative experience. So I walked them through details of a few of the big projects I had worked on, they asked specific questions about a structure of a deal as I walked them through it.
