The number you see in the middle of the doughnut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
Met with Tran at Ondra Partners for the first round interview. They invited me back for a modelling test after 2 weeks.

The test comprised of building out a LBO model with IRR & MOIC calculations. The test had to be completed within 90 mins, a template was provided. Post the test I met with Michael Baldock, one of the senior members.

No feedback was provided at all, only update I had was via the recruiter who only knew that they hadn't made a decision up until the point they made an offer to another candidate.
Interview Questions
There was nothing complicated about the interview itself. Basic questions about past deals and interest in moving to Ondra.

The modeling test may be a little complicated for some. The test required candidates to create pro-forma financials for the company and build a dynamic debt schedule with 2 tranches of debt, only 1 tranche being annually amortized.

Post creating the pro-forma and debt schedule, the candidate was required to calculate the IRR. Also had to run a sensitivity analysis to show IRR returns under different growth rates and exit multiple assumptions.

Interview
I cold-emailed to an analyst in London office and he forwarded my resume to the NYC office. Spoke with a principal for about an hour.
He basically went over the firm with me as far as the firm is not well-known on the street. Had an interesting business model.

The interview itself was sort of disappointing as he did not clarified the questions and whenever I would try to clarify, he repeated himself.
Interview Questions
1. You are about to run a start-up and considering b/w two business models: one with a negative working capital and one with a positive working capital. Which one would you choose and why? (when he actually meant what is OPERATING WORKING CAPITAL.)

2. How are the financial statements connected?

3. What is working capital? (when he actually meant what is OPERATING WORKING CAPITAL.)

Other questions were standard but I sucked as I wasn't clarified about the questions. All my fault, right?

You should be fine.

Why investment banking... why not consulting.
If you had to choice to be a generalist, specialist or in coverage for the client's nationality whilst sat around a boardroom table with the client, which would you rather be and why?
