I only got through to the first round which was on campus. It was a mix of behavioral and basic technicals. Technical was about the financial statements. They don't have a formal training program so wanted to see how much they would have to teach you. I didn't get through to the next round but it was scheduled to be at their office in San Francisco

Interview
First round done at school. I was called to the career department and had a one on one with a PM. The final round was a set of 6-8 interviews back to back at the office.
Interview Questions
You were asked to pitch a company of their choice. You were grilled about everything you pitched, and at some points the the questions were quite difficult. You really need to know what you are pitching. Other than that you had your classic accounting questions along with some more unorthodox qualitative questions - they expect to have a flowing convo with you rather than a back and forth. You need to express interest in both ESG factors and the firm itself, you will definitely be asked about its performance etc.

How do you calculate FCF.

These technical questions were all asked during the first phone interview, to see if you first understand the business. Other behavioral questions were also asked:

Where do you see yourself in 5 years.
Why the Firm.
Why Investment Management.
What Finance / Accounting classes have you taken so far?
Favorite and least favorite classes.

How proficient are you with excel and financial modeling.

Interview
Set up a phone interview with the PM that you'll be working with. If they like you, they invite you back for an in office interview to speak with CEO. CEO is a very happy, easy-going guy. He only asked about my interests and tried to get to know me better. Nothing technical.
Interview Questions
How do you value a company?
Used past investment pitches that I have done to illustrate my knowledge of public equity valuation.
PM asked me questions about my pitches as I went along just to clarify things, but spent the majority of the time over the phone just explaining my investment thesis. If you know the basics of equity research such as PE ratios, EV/EBITDA multiples, how the three financial statements relate to each other, you should be fine. They don't expect you to fully understand accounting or to have even taken an accounting class, but if you know the basics, you should be good.
