2 Phone Interviews with Associate and VP at the firm in relatively quick succession

Mixture of fit/technical questions, pretty standard banking technicals with a few more business operation/strategy type questions thrown in. Both interviewers shit on banking in comparison to PE, definitely on the more social side. Each lasted approx 30-45 min

In person interview with same associate/VP
Case study on a potential investment target with a CIM with basic financial/operational info given and a list of comparables. Also instructed to research one of the firm's holdings and generate some thoughts/opinions on the business. Total interview time was 2.5 hours, grilled on presentation, business strategy, technicals
Interview Questions
Hardest questions were extremely specific to the case.

1. Based on your research and presentation of [investment target], you identified [crucial market]. Given that this market is completely saturated, what industries and geographies would you expand to next and explain in detail the thought process.
2. Why would [target company] want to create a subsidiary were it to expand into leasing its product, how does this affect investor returns?
