Interview
Relaxed superday. Networked and then had 2 phone interview rounds. 6 interviews on superday with A-MD.
Interview Questions
Grilled on specific industry interest -- had interned in it previously so it wasn't too bad. Couldn't bullshit because it was a MD. Otherwise, the interview mostly included basic technicals that were similar to the ones in the typical guides, however, they were not the same. Interviewers did not want to trick you but they don't want to let you off too easy -- variations may just be changing the tax rate or the dollar amounts on the three statement questions. These questions were mostly asked by analysts and associates.

Referred by school alumni. It took around a month for them to reach back to me. I was interviewed by two PJS associates.
Interview Questions
Tell me about yourself? Why PJS? Discuss scenarios where you've faced a tough situation and how you solved it? Why did you leave your previous internship for study abroad? Explain how a $10 increase in depreciation flows through the statements, considering the tax rate to be 50%? List some valuation multiples, as well as some industry-specific multiples. When would you use a liquidation valuation & when liquidation valuation will produce the highest value? List and rank the valuation metrics?

Interview
MD and analyst interviewed....asked no technical questions at all and not even a "why pjsc" Asked about my deal experience, then classes, interests, etc. Got a call couple hours later and they said "can't move you forward because didn't have space since all summers accepted", so if that's true, don't know why they wasted our time with this interview, kind of disrespectful...probably why there were no technicals
Interview Questions
1) Walk me through this deal you did.
2) Resume Questions
3) Favorite Class
4) Extracurriculars

Overall, there were no hard questions, just informal conversation about random stuff. Friend of mine got asked about a recent deal.

Interview
First an on campus interview with an MD and an associate. Mainly conversational interview with one basic accounting question (depreciation affecting the financial statements). 3 hours after the interview I got a call inviting me to a superday in NYC. I went to the super day which consisted of 4 interviews with a mix of bankers and then the analysts took us all out to dinner and drinks. I did not receive an offer. They called me back in 5 days. Everyone was very nice throughout the office and the culture seemed exceptionally good. The MD talked to all of us over lunch before the interviews and made it clear that he wished he could hire all of us, but they can only hire a few.
Interview Questions
What is PIK debt? If a company acquires a company with a lower PE value, is the deal accretive or dilutive?
