Investment Banking Analyst

I cold applied online and received a response from HR in 1-2 days. I was then scheduled in for a phone interview with an associate. After that, I was scheduled for an in-office, in-person super day. The interviews consisted of a 1 on 1 session with an associate, a 2 on 1 session with an associate and analyst, a 1 on 1 session with an MD, and 1 on 1 session with another MD. My sessions with the MDs were more high level and conversational in nature. The sessions with associates were more technical. After that super day, I was scheduled for a second super day with the additional members of the group. The interviews consisted of a 1 on 1 session with a VP and a 1 on 1 session with the group head. Again, these sessions were more high level and conversational in nature.

My general advice is to know your story, the group, and the technicals well, but don't be afraid to admit the boundaries of your knowledge. If you don't know, you don't know. Don't try to hide that fact or you will get dinged immediately. Prepare for the easy stuff, but don't get flustered over questions you can't predict.
