Left investment banking for a few years to go to buy-side and then corp role. Was missing the pace, challenge and cash comp of banking so reached out to some of the bankers I had worked with in the past. They put me through the formal HR led process and coordinated a super day with me within a week or so. Super day consisted meeting 7 out of about 10 of the senior bankers on the coverage team for my sector. Interview questions were friendly and really focused on why return to banking after corporate job. Some were more challenging, others were friendly and understood the decision. Within an hour of super day had HR reach out to start working on background checks and other next steps. Offer letter within a few days.
